About This Project

Role: Solo Developer — Rapid Prototyping

Oops, Pick It Up! is a WebGL prototype built in approximately 2 hours and published on itch.io as a fast idea validation exercise. The goal was to get a playable build in front of players as quickly as possible to test whether the core mechanic — physics-based object interaction with a find-and-escape loop — was engaging enough to develop further.

Claude Code was used to accelerate the scaffolding and iteration speed during this session. All AI-generated code was reviewed and integrated deliberately — the priority was speed-to-playable, not production quality.

This prototype is explicitly a throwaway first pass. If the concept validates through player feedback, the full version will be built from scratch with proper architecture, custom systems, and clean code — no legacy from the prototype carried over.

This workflow reflects a pragmatic approach to game development: validate cheaply, then invest fully only in what works.
